Meet the Menendez Media Analysts

Meet Emma, Naia, and Elyn! We’ll be your guides as you venture through the rhetorical analysis of the mass media surrounding the case of the Menendez brothers.

Hello everyone! My name is Emma, and I am super excited to help create content for this blog.  I enjoy all things true crime be it podcasts, YouTube, or documentaries. Some of my favorite podcasts to listen to are Crime Junkie and Morbid.

Hey y’all! My name is Naia Williams and I’m an English major with a secondary education certification. My obsession with the True Crime genre began my freshman year of high school and since then it has really become one of my personality traits! Outside of school I enjoy shopping till I drop, reading YA novels, and spending time with the people I love. I’m so excited to be a part of this project and and I’m even more excited that you’re here to go on this journey with us! I hope you’re ready, because I know we are!

Hi everyone! I am the picture-less entity known as Elyn Porter. I’m an English major with a minor in Creative Writing. I am interested in how a narrative can change depending on the medium and target audience, specifically with True Crime. What interests me specifically about the genre is the psychology of the people involved. A little bit about me: I’m an artist, so when I’m not writing or reading, I’m drawing. I’m also an editor and co-writer for two indie web-series on YouTube!
